How to set up an External Account

Step 1

Tap on Menu in mobile banking, then External Accounts or Make a Transfer in online banking. Next select Add External Account.  First time accessing will require acceptance of the disclosure.   

Note:  Everytime an account is added you will be prompted for a security validation.

Step 2

Locate your external account number and username/password for the account you would like to set up.  Next, select Instant Account Verification or Manual Account Input.

Instant Account Verification will require you to select the financial institution and enter your log in credentials.

Manual Account Input will require you to enter your account and routing number to verify the account (usually takes 2-3 business days for verification).

Step 3

Next select the financial institution you are adding.  If you do not see it in the list, select Don't See your Institution? Search here or I can't locate my account.  

Step 4

Instant Account Verification - Enter your digital banking credentials for the other financial institution.  If it successfully connects your other account, information will display.  

Note:  If you are setting up a payment to pay at another financial institution you will need to use the Manual Account Input option.

Step 5

Manual Account Verification - Enter the other financial institution Routing Number, Account Number, and select Account Type. Then Connect.

Step 6

If the manual request was accepted, you will need to enter the trial deposits that post at the other financial institution.  It may take up to 3 business days to see the deposits. 

Note: The trial deposits expire 15 days after the submission.  

Step 7

Once you enter the deposits you can set up an External Transfer by going to Transfer.
